Radioiodine Therapy (I-131)
I-131 is the best and safest treatment for hyperthyroid cats. I-131 is a painless and efficient way to cure hyperthyroidism in cats and restore his or her health and quality of life. A four day hospital stay is required during which your cat will be cared for by our highly trained technical staff. Webcams will allow you to view your cat online while they are here. After treatment you will need to follow some specific guidelines. Our staff will discuss these procedures with you prior to your appointment.
Ultrasound
Mobile ultrasound brings a specialist into your practice offering unparalleled convenience to you and your client. Our Radiologist travels with an experienced Veterinary technician allowing you to provide specialty level care in your facility. In addition to our mobile ultrasound services, VDIC
offers ultrasound appointments at our referral facility. As an extension of your hospital, our highly trained staff will do everything possible to reflect positively on your practice.
Cytopathology
We have two full time pathologists dedicated to providing detailed cytology reports of the highest quality with the most information possible from the
specimens provided. Cytopathology is fast, inexpensive, minimally invasive safe and accurate. Samples can be submitted using courier service (local area) or overnight through FedEx. All reports are guaranteed via faxed and/or email the same day they are received at VDIC Monday-Saturday.
Radiology Consultations
We have four full-time radiologists ready to serve you. Radiographs can be submitted using courier service (local area), FedEx, or by using VetMedStatâ„¢ our easy-to-use telemedicine system. Our reports include findings description, a diagnosis or differential diagnoses (in order of probability), and recommendations for additional diagnostic procedures when indicated. We encourage you to show our reports to your clients because in addition to increasing compliance, it raises the perceived value of your services.
