Take I-205 North to EXIT 11 (Gladstone)
Turn RIGHT off the exit ramp onto SE 82nd Drive, continue for 1.1 miles.
Turn LEFT at the first stop light to follow SE 82nd Drive.

Management
Don Schofield - Director & General Manager
Don joined the VDIC team in May of 2004. He is currently the Director & General Manager of Telemedicine and oversees the business operations of VDIC. Prior to coming to VDIC, Don spent the last 19 years with AAA Oregon/Idaho where he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Don holds a BS in Business Management from Linfield College, earned an MBA from Marylhurst University and is a PMD75 graduate of Harvard Business School.
Kevin Richeson - Business Manager- Radiology and Referral Clinic
Kevin manages the administrative, technical, and corporate reporting functions for teleradiology and referral clinic operations. He assists with the development and implementation of strategic plans of the telemedicine business line in support of its mission and goals including revenue growth, profitability and service quality. Previously, Kevin was Controller and Treasurer for VDIC and its associated companies. Before joining VDIC, he served as CFO for an international companies involved in music, food, and consumer electronics. Kevin completed his undergraduate work at Portland State University, earned an MBA from the University of Portland, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Certified Merger & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA). In their spare time, Kevin and his family enjoy camping on the Oregon Coast and playing with their Goldendoodle Piper.
Veterinary Specialists
John Feleciano - DVM, DACVR
Dr. Feleciano is a radiologist and the radiation safety officer at VDIC. He supervises the I-131 therapy program for hyperthyroid cats. He enjoys working with all imaging modalities including ultrasound, radiology, MRI, and CT. His past clinical research projects (presented at the ACVR conference in Montreal in 2004) included the identification of the best fine needle biopsy sampling techniques now used at VDIC and numerous other sites.
Jennifer Hanson - DVM, DACVR
Dr. Hanson has been with VDIC since 1995. She has published journal articles and abstracts on several topics including ultrasonography of various animal diseases. Presently she is working on the usefulness of ultrasound in managing canine pancreatitis. Her clinical background, talent, professionalism and caring attitude have blended into an outstanding clinical radiologist. She is currently our radiology section leader.
Dave Kunz - DVM, DACVR
Dave's first degree is in technical theater. After having worked on numerous productions and national tours he chose to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri Columbia in 2001, he practiced emergency medicine in St. Louis area and entered a radiology residency program in 2002. He completed his radiology residency at University of Missouri in 2006. Dave comes to us after having worked the past year as a radiologist at a specialty hospital near Chicago and is very excited about joining the VDIC team. Dave enjoys all aspects of radiology with a special interest in ultrasound.
Kristy Barksdale - DVM, Radiology Resident
Kristy grew up in Puerto Rico, and obtained her bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras in 2002. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical studies at the University of Missouri in 2006. Prior to beginning her radiology residency at VDIC in 2008, Kristy did a small animal internship at VCA Aurora/Berwyn, in Illinois from 2007-2008. During her free time, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, and traveling.
Michele Menard - DVM, MS, PhD, DACVP
Dr. Menard has over 25 years of experience as a dedicated cytopathologist. Her enthusiasm for this noninvasive technique has pushed diagnostic yield beyond its previously recognized limits. She has published 36 journal articles, abstracts, and book chapters on various topics including blind and ultrasound-guided fine needle biopsies. Dr. Menard’s passion for her specialty is unsurpassed.
Jean-Sebastien Latouche - DVM, DES, DACVP
Dr. Latouche received his DVM degree from the Université de Montréal in 1996 and after a brief period of private small animal practice returned in 1997 to complete a residency in clinical pathology from 1997 to 2000. He became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2000. Immediately after his residency, he started working at VDIC from 2000 to 2002 as a full time clinical pathologist. He then worked part-time as a locum clinical pathologist for VDIC from 2002 to 2005 while working full-time as an instructor/clinician for the clinical pathology service of the Université de Montréal. Dr. Latouche came back full-time to VDIC in September of 2005 and transplanted his family in the quiet small city of Estacada, in the Portland area.
Support Staff
Theresa Dunn - Technical Support Specialist
Theresa joined the VDIC team in July of 2009 as a technical support specialist helping clients from around globe to send telemedicine cases to VDIC. In addition, Theresa assists with account management and patient scheduling. In her free time, Theresa enjoys baking and spending time with her daughter.
Tara Rockwell - Laboratory Technician
Tara joined VDIC in October of 2004. Her duties include overseeing the slide preparation on all incoming biopsies for VDIC’s cytology service. Tara also prepares the radiographs for the radiologists in addition to assisting the other technicians with patients, as well as helping to answer the phones. Tara has a Double Associates in Biology & Wildlife Management from Casper College. Before coming to VDIC she worked for a veterinary practice in Henderson, NV as a receptionist. Tara enjoys knitting, reading and spending time with her husband, two pugs, cats and chickens.
Lauren Smith - Administrative Assistant
Lauren joined VDIC in June of 2007 after spending the previous year and a half working as a receptionist for a General Practice/Cardiology Hospital. She is one of the main phone contacts at VDIC for client support and scheduling in addition to greeting and checking in pet owners for Ultrasound and I-131 appointments. Lauren has earned her degree at MHCC in the Professional Photography program and has made photography one of her favorite hobbies. Being a native Oregonian, she loves the outdoors as well as spending time with her husband & sons.
Emily Evans - Receptionist
Emily joined VDIC in June of 2009. She is one of the main phone contacts at VDIC for client support and scheduling in addition to greeting and checking in pet owners for MRI, CT, Ultrasound and I-131 appointments.
Kelsey Ahern - Associate Product Manager
Kelsey joined VDIC in the sales and marketing department in February of 2006. Her responsibilities include supervising the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials, including trade show coordination. In addition she also works closely with the sales team, new clients and industry partners. Kelsey is a graduate of Oregon State University with a major in animal science and a minor in business administration.
Roger Spring - Web Development
Roger is a graduate of the Art Institute of Portland with a major in Multimedia and Web Design. He is responsible for on-going development of IDEXX Telemedicine Consultants telemedicine tool (VetMedStat).
Technicians
Sara - Veterinary Technician, LVT
Sara is a nationally registered LVT. She has 12 years of Veterinary medicine experience, and has been licensed since 2003. After several years in general practice, Sara joined the team at VDIC in 2003. Since her start at VDIC she has developed a special interest in ultrasonography. Currently, she is a graduate of the Sound Technologies Advanced Imaging Program for Technicians specializing in ultrasound. She has many years of experience in both abdominal and echocardiogram ultrasound studies. She assists with ultrasound procedures as well as performing echocardiogram exams at our Clackamas facility. Sara also helps run and maintain VDIC’s Radioiodine Treatment program and is one of our Assistant Radiation Safety Officers.
Sarah - Veterinary Technician, LVT
Sarah began her career at VDIC in 2001. Sarah mainly works mobile ultrasound, traveling to various veterinary practices, assisting the radiologists with ultrasound. She also works in the lab and occasionally helps with the I131 program. Sarah became a certified veterinary technician in 2008. Sarah enjoys living aboard her sailboat with her 3 rescued kitties and is known to borrow her friends’ dogs to go hiking.
Denise - Veterinary Technician, LVT
Denise joined VDIC in January of 2008 and is a nationally registered CVT in Washington and Oregon. She has been working in veterinary medicine since 1997. Denise worked in general practice spending most of her time dedicated to Surgery and Anesthesia. Denise has taken a special interest in imaging as well. Denise is also one of our Assistant Radiation Safety Officers and helps orchestrate our radioiodine safety program for the treatment of cats with hyperthyroidism.
